Sometimes a home network and internet connections can become sluggish. Rather than spending time on hold with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), try this simple step first. It only takes a couple minutes to complete and most of the time your network and internet speed will show signs of improvement once the process is done.
Unplug your modem (AND your wireless router, if it's a separate device) from power for no less than 30 seconds. Plug in your modem and wait until new indicator lights are blinking on. If your router is separate from your modem, plug it in and wait until new indicator lights are blinking on. After ten minutes, turn your computer back on and try your internet or network access again. | |
